I wanted to be the kind of photographer who takes their time and sets up shots, but most of my pictures are taken on the fly. I see it, I am moved to try and capture some of the feeling or light. Photographs are very existential. They hold a moment, a memory; a precious split second when you were in that place, at that time and will never be there again. They capture reflected light. Holding more light and realizing everyone reflects their own inner light, is the spiritual life. It seemed a natural step to wed the two.
